I know I’ve already told y’all about the Summertime Bikes and Blues Festival coming up here in Freeport, but it’s looking so good that I have to talk about it some more!
Labor Day weekend, August 29th and 30th, Freeport is gonna be even hotter than usual thanks to the hot bands and cool bikes rolling into town! Things kick off on Friday the 29th with Leannasaurus Rex, the Bonfire Choir, and four other great bands! Check out a little taste of what you’ll be hearing on Friday from Leannasaurus Rex:
Then on Saturday, things really kick into high gear thanks to the Thousand+ Bike Ride starting at Goe Harley-Davidson at 11:15AM (registration opens at 9AM) and driving into the heart of Downtown Freeport! Once all that chrome slides into town, things get really interesting, with the Bike Games! Try your hand at the Keg Barrel Race, the Slow Race, the Tennis Ball Challenge, the Balloon Toss, or, if you’re hungry, the Weenie Bite! You can get info on how to sign up for the Games here.
Even after all that excitement, things’ll keep going into the evening with a lineup of hot acts playing cool rock and blues! This year’s Summertime Bikes and Blues Fest performers include the Tony Vega Band, Wes Jeans, Vitera, and Carolyn Wonderland. But that’s not even half the acts that’ll be on offer on Saturday night, so check out the full lineup here!
Here’s a sneak peek at what you can look forward to Saturday night from Vitera at the Summertime Bikes and Blues Fest:
